Like the wildflowers that bloom along forgotten roads, small towns have an uncommon resilience. They're the main streets that hold communities together, the destinations travelers discover and remember, the places worth celebrating.

The right publication design helps visitors see that. Travel guides that invite exploration rather than just list attractions. Community magazines that showcase authentic stories. Marketing materials that reflect your true character—not a template's generic vision.

I work with tourism boards, chambers, and Main Street programs across the Midwest and Mountain West to create publications that do your town justice.

Designs

Every project tells a story—about a place, a community, or a destination worth celebrating. Good design starts with strategy: asking the right questions, understanding the audience, and making intentional choices that serve your goals. Here's a look at work where story and strategy come together.

design

rooted in strategy, shaped by your story

Whether you're planning next year's visitor guide or getting your brand together, here's how we work:

You know what makes your business special—I help you show it. Brand identity, menus, signage, marketing materials that feel true to who you are. No cookie-cutter solutions. Just design that helps you show up with confidence.

Brand & Marketing Design
for small Businesses

Your town has stories that deserve better than a template. I design travel guides and publications that capture what makes your place special—the destinations, the businesses, the character that makes visitors want to explore. Work that actually reflects your community, not generic tourism stock photos.

Community Publications + Travel Guides

Sometimes you need clarity before design. I help you think through who you're reaching, what actually matters, and how to make your budget work harder. Real talk about what's possible and what makes sense for your situation.

Services

I grew up in Gridley, Kansas—population 342, no stoplights, and a main street that's held the community together for generations. I learned early that small towns don't survive on charm alone. They survive on resilience, determination and the grit of people who choose to stay and build something worth keeping.

Now based in Sheridan, Wyoming, I design tourism publications for chambers and destination organizations across the Mountain West and Midwest. I built Ditch Daisy Design to help small towns show up authentically — not with bland templates or corporate polish, but with design that reflects their real character.

When I'm not designing, I'm exploring. Photographing main streets. Documenting the places most people drive past without stopping.
